Frequently Asked Questions

What's included in the setup?

We bring everything — high-heat artisan ovens, prep tables, all ingredients, utensils, serving supplies, and our crew. You provide the location and we handle the rest. Setup typically takes 45–60 minutes before service begins.

Is it really wood-fired pizza?

We use high-heat gas-powered artisan ovens that reach nearly 1,000°F — the same temperature as traditional wood-fired ovens. This produces authentic Neapolitan-style pizza: blistered crust, perfectly melted cheese, and incredible flavor. The result is indistinguishable from traditional wood-fire, with the added benefit of faster recovery time and cleaner setup for private events.

How far will you travel?

We proudly serve all of North Central West Virginia and surrounding regions. Events within 45 minutes of Morgantown, WV are included in your package at no extra charge. Events 45–90 minutes away incur a travel fee of $50–$100 depending on distance. We do not currently service events beyond 90 minutes from our base, though exceptions may be considered for large-scale events — contact us to discuss.

What's the minimum spend?

Our minimum spend is $500 for any private event — this applies whether you have 8 guests or 25. The $500 covers up to 25 pizzas at our standard $20/pizza rate. If your guest count grows beyond that or you upgrade to premium pizzas (gluten-free $25, specialty cashew/dairy-free $35), pricing scales per pizza from there. Your non-refundable deposit goes toward the total — you're not spending extra, just securing your date. This is the standard catering model: when we commit to your date, we're reserving our staff, equipment, and full event service for you alone.

What if fewer guests show up than expected?

Your tier reserves a specific package, level of service, and amount of food prepared for your date — much like wedding catering, where the count is guaranteed in advance. If you book Tier 2 ($1,000) for 40 guests but only 35 attend, you've still secured the same fired oven, the same staff, the same prep time, and the same full menu for your event. The good news? You'll have extra pizza to send guests home with — nothing goes to waste, and your event still feels abundant. We do recommend confirming your final guest count with us about a week before your event so we can prep accordingly. And if you know your numbers might shift, book early — the more lead time you give us, the more flexibility we have to work with you on date or scope adjustments.

Can we customize the menu?

Absolutely. We offer a variety of Cantoni's signature pizzas and can work with your preferences. Higher tiers include full menu customization. Let us know about any dietary needs or preferences and we'll do our best to accommodate.

How quickly are the pizzas made?

Each pizza cooks in under 2 minutes at our high heat. Our team can produce multiple pizzas per hour depending on setup. For large events, we can deploy additional ovens to handle higher volumes with no drop in quality.

What about festivals and fairs?

For fairs, festivals, and public events, our pricing works differently — typically per pizza sold. There's no booking minimum for public events. Contact us with event details and we'll put together a proposal.

What pizzas are on the menu?

We offer a curated artisan menu focused on quality over quantity. Our standard menu includes: Cheese, Pepperoni, BBQ Chicken, Buffalo Chicken, and White Pizza. For smaller events (under 25 guests / $500 minimum), we offer Cheese and Pepperoni. Gluten-free cauliflower crust is available as an upgrade for $25/pizza (vs. $20). All pizzas are Neapolitan-style, fired at nearly 1,000° — no basil or heavy toppings, just perfectly crafted pizza the way it should be.

Do you need electricity or special setup requirements?

We request one standard power outlet for refrigeration of our prep table. If your venue does not have accessible power, we can bring our own power solution for a $50 equipment fee. Beyond that, we just need a flat, accessible surface for our setup — grass, pavement, patios, and parking lots all work great.

Is franchising or licensing available?
